The word “HEALTHY” on a food label is one of the biggest traps in nutrition today.
Every single day my clients send me photos asking:
– “Ma’am can I have this sugar free ice cream?”
– “What about this protein snack?”
– “Is this granola bar okay?”
And I understand why.
Because these products are marketed brilliantly.
They say sugar free, fat free, high protein, etc and instantly earn your trust.
But do we really know what is actually inside them?
These products may contain the ingredients they advertise.
But to maintain their shelf life, taste, and structure, something is always being added.
Emulsifiers. Preservatives. Sweetners. Stabilisers – Things your body does not fully recognise as food.
Many of these additives are known hormone disruptors.
They may not spike your sugar directly or add visible fat.
But they could be triggering something else in your body that no label is talking about.
And that’s the real trap.
Not that these products are obviously harmful.
But that they appear safe while doing things your body cannot even signal to you clearly.
That’s why the closer your food is to its natural form, the better your body will understand it.
Keep it real. Keep it simple. And better keep it farm fresh. 🌿
